The players play a normal scene, based on the suggestion of the audience. At any time, the moderator can call "Cut" to remove ("cut out") a player from the scene. If a player has been "cut", he or she leaves the stage. The remaining players then continue playing as if the character was still on stage. The moderator can also "insert" players back into the scene, which works well, for example, after that player (who is not physically on stage) has been designated to do something (an activity) by the other players in the scene.
