King of Siam

Players sit or stand in a circle. One is the King, the others are numbered in order. The last player has no number — they are simply 'the last one.'

The King begins: 'The King of Siam has lost his crown. Who has found it? Number three has found it!'

Number three responds: 'Not I, sir!' — King: 'Then who?' — Three: 'Number seven has found it!'

Anyone who hesitates, gets their number wrong, or breaks rhythm must go to the 'last' position. Everyone shifts up. The goal is to dethrone the King.
