Pearl string

A game for any number of players, but preferably more than 3 to tell a little story.

All players line up in a line.

• Player 1 takes two steps forward and goes all the way to the right and says a sentence that marks the end of the story, e. g: "They rode happily together towards the sunrise."
• Player 2 now steps two steps forward and goes to the far left and says a sentence that marks the beginning of the story, e. g: "Fabian woke up in his hay hotel and looked out the window."
• Afterwards, all the previously said sentences of the story are repeated by the players from left to right, i. e. at the beginning of the first sentence and then the final sentence.
• The task of the remaining players is to fill the middle part of the story and bring the individual sentences together to form a coherent story.
• After each new player, all previously said sentences of the story are repeated.
• The pearl string is complete when all players are in a new line. That concludes the story.

Depending on whether the new players position themselves to the right or left of a player, this means that the sentence in the story follows after (right of it) or before (left of it). No one should position themselves to the left of player 2 with the initial sentence of the story and to the right of player 1 with the final sentence of the story.

However, new players can position themselves between two already standing players and add a set there.

In this game, it is important to listen carefully to what has already been said and not to reject or ignore these offers. It helps to make new sentences as specific as possible.

For many players, it's a good idea to alternate the sentences between descriptions ("the sky darkened, the temperature suddenly dropped and there was sweat on Fabian's face") and sentences driving the plot.
