Impro ACT
Canberra's original and largest improvisation company teaches classes from PASH (The Performing Arts Services Hub), it's own premises in the capital's CBD. It holds a Theatreports and Maestro license from ITI, but performs a spectrum of styles, including non-comedic dramatic longform, musical, experimental, and is constantly creating new formats as it's MO. It also operates Australia's international festival of improvisation, held annually in the city, called Improvention, listed separately in the Wiki. The company is highly inclusive, and welcomes students and performers at all levels, with opportunities to perform for all who wish to. Impro ACT also acts to encourage other groups or improvisation projects, by providing space, extending insurance, co-producing, marketing support, mentoring, etc. Come see us :)
