Pirates of Tokyo Bay: Tokyo's Premier English and Japanese Improv Group Based in Tokyo, Japan, the Pirates of Tokyo Bay have been performing monthly shows in Ebisu since 2010. We are a short-form improv comedy group (similar to Whose Line Is It Anyway?) that performs in both English and Japanese. Our shows are designed to be enjoyed by everyone—locals, tourists, and language learners alike. You do not need to speak both languages to laugh; we use physical comedy, gibberish, and high-context games to bridge the language gap. Key Highlights: ・Regular Shows: Monthly performances at 'What the Dickens' in Ebisu, Tokyo. ・International Tours: We have represented Japan in New York City (Del Close Marathon), Singapore, Hong Kong, Manila, Kuala Lumpur, Beijing, Shanghai, and Hanoi. ・Corporate Training: We provide applied improv workshops for companies like Google, Medtronic, and various Embassies in Tokyo.
